The Nudibranch's on this page are from Anilao, Tulamben, Dauin, Kapali, Lembeh, Lankayan, Mabul, Manado, Peurto Galera, and Wakatobi. |
I have named the species shown in the photograph's mostly from the book's
of Dr Terrence M. Gosliner, Angel Valdes and David W. Behrens. In particular their book's "Nudibranch & Sea Slug Identification" known as "NSSI". Where i cannot find a species name i have used my own reference ie sp. A B or C etc The photo's with Ref: sp. 1 2 or 3 etc refer to names given in "NSSI". Names of Nudibranch's do on occasion change as scientists learn more about them. The names i have given my examples below may well be out of date (or even wrong) by the time i finish writing this page, do not use my names as a given. Please check with "WoRMS" on the link below. http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php to look for the most up to date names. The letter and numbers on each photo refer to Place name and year and the file number. A=Anilao, B=Bali, D=Dauin, K=Kapalai, L=Lembeh, LA=Lankayan, M=Mabul, MA=Manado, P=Peurto Galera, S=Seaventures, W=Wakatobi |
Our thank's to Marshall Davidson in Sabah who introduced us to Nudibranch's and to Ramil Ochea in Anilao, Philippines for diving with us and keeping us safe. |

This Genus has (for me) been very difficult to identify, the names i have given the examples below i believe to be correct but may need verification.
With so many visual variations i show more than the usual 6 examples.
