We were very pleased with the resort, it
was our first time at Halo and we were not dissapointed. Our room was
quite large, there was a large comfortable bed and a flat screen TV with
satellite and movie channels. The room has aircon and ceiling fan. The
shower room and toilet was ok with hot and cold water. There is a large
pool by the restaurant and a large diving area down by the sea.
drive from Manila down to
Halo Resort takes about 2.5 to 3 hours by car.
Most of that time is taken up trying to get out of Manila.
The roads are quite good untill you get to Bauan where there allways appears to be traffic holdups but once past there it is not long till you reach the resorts of Anilao.
The pool area alongside the outdoor restaurant.
The pool was very welcome, cool and inviting after a hard days diving, great for relaxation.
The Dive Area, clean and functional, there are camera rinse tanks where you can leave your camera between dives. There are hot showers to rinse away the salt water, plenty of gear drying areas. As for your equipment, you don't have to touch it or carry it from the boat, the staff do that for you.
The dive regime usually starts around 08:30am but if you are on your own then dive time is whatever time you like, for us it was 08:30am, just get on the boat, your equipment is already there along with your camera equipment. The staff are used to handling the most sophisticated camera's as they cater for some of the best Pro's. The boat goes out in the morning for two dives and then returns for lunch. You can do your 3rd dive whenever you like in the afternoon. Depending on which dive site you dive they are never more than 30 minutes away.
